Wood Planet Furniture is a standard scam website that has been set up as a front for a money laundering mule job advertisement and spam campaign.The above site home page content has been stolen from various other sites and cobbled together using the homestead.com free site building service, for instance, the above home page paragraphs have been stolen from here, and here and their 'About Us' page content has been stolen from this 'About Us' page. All absolutely clear evidence of site theft and fraud. The purpose of this fake website is to lend an air of legitimacy to the usual money laundering mule spam campaign for a "Accounts payable/virtual assistant", (sample below) which is currently heavily attacking job websites as a Google search for "Wood Planet Furniture" reveals. The illegal 'job' consists of receiving payments to your personal checking account and transferring a balance to the criminals via Western Union. It is an activity that will lose you a lot of money, get your account and assets frozen and could earn you a criminal record - do not be tempted or you WILL regret it.

They are not a registered company in their supposed fake location of Washington DC, (or Seattle WA), and they have zero web presence, (apart from their own scam website, of course and numerous spamverts on job websites) - not to be confused with any other company of the same name. Their domain woodplanetf.com was only registered with TUCOWS INC. (Homestead Technologies, Inc) on 25-Feb-2010 for the usual criminal's domain minimum period of only one year. The scam is very reminiscent of the Que Gusta Oak Furniture scam and related frauds. There is a another very similar supposedly Seattle located, unregistered company fraud, (probably related) also known as Wood-Planet, also using a free website with stolen content, also using a fake/stolen address, also spamming the identical job as a Google search for his website telephone number of "206-426-5933" currently reveals. This is a serial criminal fraudster.

i) The Wood Planet Furniture website content has been stolen from various sources as outlined above - clear evidence of site theft and fraud.

ii) They claim on their (stolen) 'About Us' page: "For more than 10 years Welcome to Wood Planet Furniture has provided families with well-made, affordable home furnishings", but their domain woodplanetf.com was only registered with TUCOWS INC. (Homestead Technologies, Inc) on 25-Feb-2010 for the usual 'criminal's domain' minimum period of only one year. A clear indication of fraud and a fraudulent registration.

iii) A google search for "Wood Planet Furniture" shows a complete lack of web presence, (apart from their own fake website, of course). However, there are numerous job website listings for their fraudulent "Accounts payable/virtual assistant" - they are heavily spamming job websites and also placing newspaper ads by the look of it. Not to be confused with any other company of the same name.

It is dressed up a bit to start with, but eventually you have the clear 'money mule' function of accepting payments to your personal bank account and transferring a 92% balance back out to these crooks. It will get your account and your assets frozen, WILL cost you a lot of money and could well end up with you being arrested. Do not be tempted. It is irrefutable evidence of criminal fraud.

v) Wood Planet Furniture claim in their website contact details to be located in Washington DC and in their above scam emails claim to be located in Seattle WA, however a search of the business entity registers for both Washington state and District of Columbia show that they are not a registered company in either location - clear evidence of a fake company.

• - They seem a little confused about where they are - they claim to be located at the address "1724 17th Street Northwest, Washington, DC", but their website single Fax/Telephone number 206-984-1476 locates to Seattle WA as also claimed as their "main office" in their fake job spec. above.
• - A Google search for the address "1724 17th Street Northwest, Washington, DC" shows no trace of these crooks, (ignoring their own fake website, of course). It is clearly a single-family residential property and not a business or office.
• - A Google Maps search for the address "1724 17th Street Northwest, Washington, DC" shows no trace of these crooks, (ignoring their own fake website, of course), or any business at all at that clearly residential address.

The above evidence clearly demonstrates beyond any doubt that Wood Planet Furniture are a fake company and their website has been set up by money laundering criminal fraudsters purely for the purpose of spamvertising an illegal money laundering 'mule' job. If you are an abuse team that has received an abuse report regarding these fraudsters, please consider immediate termination of their services in view of the absolutely undeniable evidence of criminal fraud - please don't delay - these criminals will not respond to any communication from you, (all their whois data is false), but will simply take advantage of any attempt at communication as a delaying tactic to allow them time to carry on their criminal activity and prepare their next network.
