All of the bogus jobs on this page are solicitations to commit criminal fraud - do not be tempted

These criminals do not always use a website - they may simply use a contact email address. They send tremendous amounts of spam offering a part time job of "Regional Assistant" or "Local Manager" or "Finance Assistant" or some such bogus title. The job always consists of accepting stolen or just plain counterfeit funds into your account, (which they may stress doesn't need to have existing funds in it), and forwarding it on to the criminals using Moneygram or Western Union less a percentage for yourself. There may be all sorts of "sweeteners" included in the spam such as "prospects of promotion", "professional advice", "pension scheme", "travel expenses" etc, etc. All totally bogus, of course. The initial contact email address is often a Yahoo or AOL, or Gmail or Hotmail address, but whatever it is, the 'job' is fraudulent and illegal and will end up with you losing a lot of money and possibly facing criminal charges. Don't fall for it!

There are an infinite number of variations, but if you received it in an unsolicited email, (spam), then it is a scam. Even if you received it in response to posting your resumé on a career website, if they want you to accept funds into your account and send it on to them less a percentage for yourself then it is always fraudulent and illegal - don't be tempted or you are more than likely to end up facing criminal charges and with all your assets frozen.

Time and time again I get emails from site visitors that mention Careerbuilder and Monster as where they have apparently received their first scam approaches from. This only implies that the criminals are taking advantage of the position of Careerbuilder etc. and possibly spoofing emails from them and the same applies to Monster as evidenced by the scam spam and the spoof Monster 'phishing' fraud highlighted on this page. Do not assume that because job offers appear to come from a reputable firm such as Careerbuilder or Monster etc. that they are necessarily legitimate. Any 'job offer' that asks you to do unlicensed money transfers from home for a percentage cut is illegal. What reputable company would entrust money transfers to an unknown, unverified, unlicensed person in a foreign country? I suggest that the answer is obvious - none. Here are two such actual initial money transfer mule approaches that have been sent to me from a victim:
